Kanaani Heritage and International Preservation

TWKO press release · EIN Presswire · October 2, 2026

A World Kanaani Organization press release distributed through EIN Presswire on October 2, 2026 introduces the cultural designation of Kanaani cats as heirs to the feline symbolism of King Solomon’s throne. The announcement connects Jewish tradition with the breed’s development in Jerusalem and its modern preservation needs.

Preserving a rare breed

The release describes seven cats forming the active breeding population in TWKO’s preservation program at the time of publication. It also reports Haifa and Haya’s participation in the August 2026 WCF Jubilee Show in Vantaa, Finland, and their subsequent category rankings.

International cooperation

Through Kanaani Diplomacy, TWKO seeks cooperation with breeders, cultural institutions and animal advocates to build sustainable populations. The announcement frames royal symbolism as a call to care: safeguarding the breed’s future requires welfare, documentation and continued cooperation.
